The
Villa le Rêve where Henri Matisse lived from 1943 to 1949,
is now open to artists, art schools and individuals in the way
to organise painting courses.
Its
exceptional setting in a garden with old trees and flowers, its
situation on the French Riviera in Vence, between sea and mountain,
offers the possibility to organise holidays concentrated on painting
and also discovering a rich and varied region.
Henri Matisse appreciated very much his stay in the Villa le Rêve,
the wonderful light of Vence, the nature and the calm. He painted
a lot of his most famous master pieces like “still life
with pomegranates”.
